InterLegis Lowers Discovery Costs with DataMapper™ Enhancements

Preview module reduces data collection prior to processing for litigation, regulatory requests and internal investigations

Dallas, TX — August 30, 2007 — InterLegis, Inc., an innovator of web-based digital document management services, today announced significant enhancements to DataMapper™, a data preview module within Discovery360™, the company's flagship e-discovery product. In addition to more robust reporting and graphing tools, DataMapper now offers document pre-tagging, to categorically code documents prior to export. This reduces overall processing costs and expedites document review for law firms and corporations up against litigation, regulatory requests and internal investigations.

DataMapper is a secure, browser-based tool that delivers considerable time and cost savings to legal teams by allowing them to reduce the document collection before processing by testing "what-if" scenarios and removing duplicate documents. InterLegis clients pay only for the smaller data set that is processed post-culling and de-duplication, rather than the entire document collection.

Using InterLegis' unique product, legal teams can set their electronic data discovery strategy early, culling down large volumes of documents online using keywords, custodian, date ranges, concept folders and other metadata to discover potentially relevant and responsive documents. After pre-processed data is culled, Discovery360 EDD completes the processing of electronic data and seamlessly delivers native files within the Discovery360 review and repository module.

"DataMapper delivers measurable cost savings by reducing data collections prior to processing. Where most service providers offer tools to cull down a data set only during the review phase, InterLegis does so on the front end and charges clients only for the data export," said Kevin Carr, president of InterLegis. "We have made the strategic decision to break the mold of typical e-discovery service providers because we recognize that our clients need real solutions for the skyrocketing costs of litigation," he continued.

By removing irrelevant documents before they are processed, InterLegis clients benefit from significant time and cost savings during the review process. This enables legal teams to focus on smaller, more relevant document collections.
